The Laughing Heart wine bar and dining room in Hackney tasked Willis Jenkins with transferring their new premises into a functional up to date dining area. Serving up wonderful natural wines and tasty small plates, The Laughing Heart is the perfect spot for a night out.

Once the client had chosen their site, they needed a design firm able to utilise the area to its maximum potential. The client needed Willis Jenkins to design and manufacture bespoke fabrication to fit the building, giving a modern contemporary look whilst also vastly improving the restaurant functionality and facilities within a tight budget.

Working with budget constraints meant that the team needed to look for ways to achieve the clients end goal within the budget without compromising on quality. This involved getting creative with some of the design and fabrication processes.

Since completing the project, the team have received a fantastic response from all those who visit the site. Willis Jenkins noted that the client at The Laughing Heart was a joy to work with, inputting some great new ideas throughout.

The cooking equipment in the kitchen was supplied by Hobart and Bonnet, dishwasher by Hobart, glass washer by Winterhalter, ice machine by Hoshizaki and refrigeration by Fosters and Polar.
